This beautiful original tubular steel desk was designed by architect Bruno Weil (BèWè). He was the stepson majority shareholder of Thonet Mundus AG Leopold Pilzer. In the early 1930s took over the commercial and artistic management of Thonet-Fréré, Paris, and made the production of avantgardistic designs from Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret possible. His own designs he signed with a synonym referring to his initials BèWè.
